Google Search Console
Connect Search Console and SEOAgent uses your real search data to find queries worth targeting and to spot older articles that need a refresh.
What you need
- Your site added to Search Console as a verified property - a domain property or a URL prefix both work.
- A Google account that is an owner or full user of that property. A restricted user's data still syncs, but SEOAgent can't submit your sitemap with it.
The Google account doesn't have to be the one you sign in to SEOAgent with. There is nothing to set up in Google Cloud: no project, API key or service account.
Connect it
- Open Settings → Integrations and press Connect next to Google Search Console. The notice on your dashboard does the same.
- Choose the Google account that can see your property and allow access. SEOAgent asks for full Search Console access rather than read-only, because submitting a sitemap is a change to your property.
- Pick your property from the list. It shows every property that account is verified on.
SEOAgent then submits your sitemap and starts the first sync.
What it syncs
Clicks, impressions, queries and pages. The first sync pulls up to 16 months; later syncs re-pull the last 3 days, because Google revises recent days. Press Sync now in Settings → Integrations to run it again. The data feeds your dashboard's traffic chart, each published article's clicks, and research: pages with impressions but a weak average position become article ideas.
Sitemap
Your sitemap is submitted when you connect and again after every article you publish.
Disconnecting
Disconnect in Settings → Integrations removes the property from SEOAgent. To take away SEOAgent's access to the Google account as well, remove it under Third-party connections in your Google Account's security settings.
Search Console is optional. Without it, research still runs on DataForSEO data; it just won't see your real clicks and impressions.
