Adding keywords
Adding is free. Type or paste keywords, or pick from the suggestions - those come from your own researched opportunities and your Search Console queries, so nothing is bought to fill that list.
Checking positions
A check is one search-results request per keyword, about 2 credits each, paid from your credits like everything else. A check stops where the credits run out and keeps every position it already measured.
Each check records the position, the ranking URL, the search features on the page and the top five competing domains. Position is blank when the site is not in the first hundred results - that is a real measurement, not missing data.
Volume and difficulty
Optional, and priced separately: two requests cover up to 700 keywords in one market, so it costs about 11 credits regardless of how many keywords you add at once.
Scheduling
Settings → Automation can check every tracked keyword every 7 or 15 days. It is off by default, capped by a daily limit you set, and skipped rather than queued when a previous check is still running.
