Auto indexing

Tell search engines about a page the moment it is published, instead of waiting to be crawled. Both providers are free.

IndexNow

Used by Bing, Yandex, Seznam and Naver. In Settings → Advanced, generate a key, host it as a plain text file at https://yourdomain/<key>.txt containing exactly the key, then press Verify. SEOAgent submits every published URL automatically from then on.

Google Indexing API

This is the one Google integration that needs your own Google Cloud project:

  1. In Google Cloud, create a project (or use one you have) and enable the Web Search Indexing API on it.
  2. Create a service account in that project and download a JSON key for it.
  3. In Search Console, add the service account's email to your property as an owner.
  4. Paste the JSON key in Settings → Advanced. It is encrypted at rest and never shown again.

Google officially limits this API to job posting and livestream pages; it is offered here because it works, not because Google promises it will.

What gets submitted

The URL of each article as it is published, once per provider you have configured. Every submission and the provider's answer is recorded, so you can see what was accepted rather than assuming.
